The last week has been one of those weeks with the girl. You know (or maybe not), one of those weeks where you would trade your child for a bag of Skittles?.. and not even a big bag, just a Halloween fun-size.
So here are some thoughts from the dark side of the moon.
- Soon to be parents or parents with newborn/infants - For whom does the bell toll? YOU. Your turn is coming.
- Parents that either have kids that are this age, or parents that have older kids - pray for us, you know where we're at.
- Parents that can't relate at all - please send us a sample of your happy pills.
Discipline your son, for there is hope. Do not set your heart on putting him to death. - Proverbs 19: 18Harrumph.
Oh I am so right there with you friends. So so right there.
ReplyDeleteTo give you a laugh in the middle of todder and infant chaos, I just read a friend's blog. They are traveling around the world for a year. Sounds magical, right? So much more fun than being home with two exhausting kids. Okay, it usually is as I can say from experience. But....read this post they just put up on the lowlight of their year. And you will be glad that you are comfy at home in your chaos. Made me smile, hope it does the same for you. Here is the post:
"Lowest point this year: this is a tough one…it is either the last night in Egypt in the Cairo Airport when the toilet exploded all over me before boarding an overnight flight (all change of clothes were in my checked baggage and we we’re minutes within take-off, and the kicker: I’m a germ freak), or, the night that I was tortured by mosquitoes in 100 degree heat and humidity for a solid 6 hours. Hmmm…flip a coin I guess."
